Hi everybody. If we haven't met yet, I am Ananya, and I have the privilege of being Aditi's little sister. In this speech, I'm going to admit something that is every youngest child's first nightmare: Aditi was pretty much the blueprint. I remember being about six years old and banging on 14-year-old Aditi's bedroom door, trying to hang out with her and her childhood friends. Of course, she was not a fan of my attendance, but I never stopped trying to get into the big kids' club, even if that meant following all of her friends on Instagram the second I got my first phone.
Looking back on it, I realized that I never just wanted to be part of the big kids' club. I think a small part of me just thought that Aditi and everything orbiting her was super cool, and while I hate to admit it, that definitely hasn't changed. Today, despite our age gap, bits and pieces of Aditi's personality are embedded into who I am. She's in every concert I go to, every playlist I make, and every meal I douse in ketchup, because if you know Aditi, you know she loves ketchup.
As I got older, I loved getting to know the person she's become while also keeping memories of her as a child in my heart at all times. Aditi's unfailing kindness and belief in every single person she's ever met makes me a warmer person, and her integrity and passion in every single one of her pursuits makes me want to be proud of everything I put my name on. Despite us bickering quite literally all the time, like on the way to the Sangeet, I will always continue to be your biggest advocate and cheerleader for life. So Kanav, I hope you enjoy growing old with her as much as I enjoyed growing up with her. Congratulations to you both.
